OK for the occasional user, not so great for the regular user September 3, 2010 Andrea Ceste (Stafford Springs, CT USA) Having previously used a Plantronics 510 Voyager for over 2 years with great success, I dropped my Voyager 510 in water and was looking at this lower priced bluetooth in hopes it would be as great. Unfortunately, it is not. As an avid bluetooth user, this model lacks the battery longetivity and call quality of the Voyager. Callers often comment that the clarity is lacking and the battery seems to die after as little as 2 hours of talk time even when charged on a daily basis. The ear bud piece is not as comfortable and definately not as secure fitting in the ear as the Voyager. I have used this bluetooth for several months now and I'm afraid I have to retire it. I am definately going to spend the extra to purchase another 510 Voyager or even upgrade to the newer Plantronics model. If you are avid bluetooth user, it is definately worth the extra expense for an upgraded model. If you are just an occasional user, this may be just fine for you.
Not a fan August 31, 2010 Joanne Tobey (New Jersey) It's very awkward to get this thing positioned in the ear, and once it's there it has that horrible Star Trek kind of look--it's big. It's a pain to pair. Sometimes I would have to go into my iPhone's bluetooth settings to get it to reconnect--one of the things that most annoys me about devices like this and why I despised and disposed of my Jawbone. But the most annoying thing about it is the lag between the time you hit the button on the side and the time you either pick up or end a call. What's with that? It has zilch noise cancellation--if you want someone to hear every breeze in your environment amplified to hurricane-force, wear one of these things. It didn't cost much, but it isn't worth much. I'm not a fan.
Doesn't work with iphone4 August 23, 2010 Dr. Gregory A. Bolcer I bought a new iphone4 and needed a new bluetooth headset as my older Motorola, which worked perfectly with my Nokia phone, did not work at all with my new one. I looked at the reviews and bought the Plantronics headset that had all the latest features, but was about half the price of the very newest model. Needless to say, it was a complete waste of money. I spent over 6 hours with Apple tech support going through all configurations of their software, firmware, and even paying $30 for a hardware replacement just to isolate that it was this headset that was incompatible. It's too late to return this one, the money I spent getting an iphone replacement, and the money I will have to spend to get a high end bluetooth headset that will work (about $160) start to add up. Bottom line: don't waste your money.
need to exchange defective August 15, 2010 Thomas Van Buren (PORTLAND, OR, US) Can you send me an email to exchange it for a replacement this is the second one purchased the first one works great the second has static anywhere its used the phone is a blackberry are they not canpatable with this product? can you respond as soon as possible thanks.
Works Well but people complain of echo and delay. August 10, 2010 Jason Bluetooth headset ... still the same old problems. Lots of nice features and accessories, but echo and delay annoy my friends. A good value if you don't need to use one a lot.
